But, to cap off a fun week, we had some family time at the Cagle's Corn Maize on Friday night and apple picking at BJ Reese's Applehouse on Saturday morning. The corn maize is not something we do every year...mostly because it would cost us $40 to just get in the door. But, with some coupons, we got in for $20 and had a fun filled family night complete with maze, jumping on the pillow, and yummy funnel cakes. By the end of the night, all 3 kids were worn out and ready for bed.
Apple picking at BJ Reese's has been a standing yearly tradition for many years now. We all look forward to heading up in to the mountains and (somewhat) cooler weather for picking apples. All the kiddos enjoy picking them right off the tree and taking a bite. The past few years they have added a petting zoo and we enjoy watching the animals run and play in the zoo. But, the best part is always the ride home with a bag full of farm grown goodies and warm fried apple pies that get devoured before we even hit the highway.
All of the pics are posted on the Shutterfly share site. But, as always, here are a few to get you started.
