You can kiss your family good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you do not just live in a world, but a world lives in you.

A Hoppin' Good Time

Today we had Drew's 1st birthday party with all of the family and friends here. It was a party with a Frog theme to match his baby room. So...the house was decorated with blue and yellow streamers because I couldn't find green...seriously, it's March...who doesn't have green streamers everywhere???? The cake had a cute little frog on it. And all of the party favors were bath towels with boy and girl frogs embroidered on them. I'll have to post a picture...they were so cute.
It was the standard 1st birthday party. We had pizza, some fruit, a salad and drinks for lunch. All the kids did a frog coloring craft or puzzle. Drew opened some cute birthday presents. He got a car racer and some nerf balls. He got some fuzzy cars to roll around the house. All perfect little things for a boy. After the presents, we sang happy birthday and ate cake. Because we had a small family party on his birthday, Drew was well versed in the smashing of the cake. He sat joyously in his seat for close to an hour and chowed down on his yummy cake. By the end of the party, he was covered in icing and enjoying every minute of it.
Be sure to visit the Shutterfly site to see all the pictures from the party. Here are a few to get you started.
